This video showcases the music edit I put together for this commercial I worked on. Music editing is a crucial step in any production for scoring to picture. Part of the role of a music editor is to develop a musical idea for the scene by using music that has already been written in the world and to try to cohesively put together a temp score that reflects the director's vision, and also gives the composer direction to go in when scoring. This video also showcases the original music I wrote in reference to the temp score I put together.
Immersive Audio Editing
Description: Grand Moff Tarkin & Director Krennic have captured you, a rebel soldier! You are blindfolded and held captive at a secret location unbeknownst to the rebellion. Your only way out is to listen very closely to what they say…
As a passion project, I wrote, edited, and directed this original immersive audio play for all Star Wars fans. Additionally, you get the option to “choose your fate”, which conventional audio plays do not allow you to do. I made a conscious effort to be exceptionally selective for the casting of the role of Tarkin and directed the talented voice actor to perform the lines as needed to best fit the dynamics of the story.
Meant to be listened to with headphones and your eyes closed to simulate your captivity!
